The UTS refurbished Level 9 of Building 10 to consolidate the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences into the one location, while also upgrading all facilities to meet contemporary learning standards.

The project was the first step in this phase of relocation and consolidation of staff and faculty.

Accordingly, it was crucial to the University that the stakeholders were well consulted and properly accommodated.

Level 9 was the University’s top priority because they were terminating lease hold on old buildings, thereby creating the need for new contemporary space to meet the goals and objectives of academic restructuring.

The project entailed a full services upgrade and refit to reflect the new activities of the consolidated Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences including a variety of teaching, learning, consultation, work and breakout spaces.

The result was a space in which all areas are rich with state-of-the-art services in lighting, IT, data, communication as well as temperature control for optimal working conditions.
