Azure Blue is a large scale Aged Care and Independent Living facility based in Redcliffe, North of Brisbane.  The design of this development focuses on an integrated community with an emphasis on convenience, recreation and lifestyle through its planning, architectural vision and facilities.  Medland Metropolis were engaged to provide Mechanical, Electrical, Fire and Hydraulic Services for this facility.

The community consists of one, two and three bedroom fully serviced apartments over three residential towers, together with a multi storey, 96 bed, residential aged care facility.  Recreational facilities were a high priority and the community boasts a swimming pool, gymnasium, hobby centre and a community centre.

In providing services engineering for this facility, Medland Metropolis gave great consideration to the provision of technology and communications services in order to better cater to the needs of the next generation of retirement living communities.  Included in this were fully interactive IPTV and menu-ordering systems and advanced security and CCTV coverage.  Medland Metropolis also provided IP-based nurse call systems with the capacity for future resident and asset tracking that will enable greater care and facilities management.
