The Rockhampton City Council engaged Medland Metropolis to provide Mechanical, Electrical, Fire, Audio Visual, Hydraulic and Lift Design services for their new 2,500sqm library.

The space incorporated a café, exhibition area, large auditorium, youth library and business services centre.

The new building links to the Heritage School of Arts building which is to be upgraded as Council offices, and to the existing library building, which will be returned as stack.

Medland Metropolis collaborated with the Architect, Brewster Hjorth, to provide innovative services solutions.

As a team, we achieved a visually identifiable and multifunctional space to complement the clients’ specific needs.
