VUBIQUITY
Leading global provider of premium content services Vubiquity engaged Medland Engineering to provide services design up to stage 3 on their fitout project located in 3 More London SE1 2RE. The vision for the project was to provide Vubiquity with a best in class workplace that enhanced the image of the company in relation to its customers, staff and peers.
The 22,000 square foot site, located on level 2, consists of open plan workstations, breakout spaces with exposed services, casual meeting spaces with feature lighting, several client facing meeting suites, media editing suites, cellurised offices and a large communications room with ups capabilities.
Our duties on the project included the creation of a services performance specification package for the main contractor to design and build from. The high level set of scoping documents, which outlined the MEP works required, was created to a level of detail and accuracy that ensured the project was delivered successfully and in-line with the client’s vision.
Some of the challenges encountered on the project included latent base build defects in the air conditioning and controls systems, and a lack of accurate Category A information for the floor. Medland Engineering responded to these challenges by providing a full due diligence survey to highlight the risks of latent defects, and by providing a survey of the Category A space to identify the missing information and provide commentary on existing services.
Vubiquity was nominated for a Mixology South Award in 2016, category of Medium Commercial Interior Project.
