Medland Engineering were proud to represent Suncorp throughout their Sydney Consolidation project from 2015 – 2017.
Beginning with an initial advisory scope for Suncorp, we undertook an initial client briefing & benchmark, building search, and shortlisted building audits, providing on going advice and expertise during the Agreement for Lease. We were then engaged to undertake a full design and documentation package for Mechanical, Electrical, Fire and Hydraulic services and Specialist Lighting Design.
As a direct result of our Engineering Advisory and Design we achieved $1M in savings for Suncorp, including:
- Pre AFL negotiations of dual power supply, generator capacity to cater for Suncorp resilience requirements resulted in savings close to $500k
- Negotiated LED lights instead of T5’s for same price with an operational saving upwards of $100k
- Innovative lighting design including colour changing LED’s to facilitate behaviours and flexibility for the untethered workplace.
- Flexible power design with bespoke power system
- Mechanical Services design enabled no A/C in FCR rooms with a saving of $200k.
- Creative solution using diversification of mechanical systems to minimise additional supplementary a/c units achieved savings of $180k
- Designed innovative flexible working solutions to deliver the clients vision, including: Innovative lighting design including colour changing LED’s to facilitate behaviours and flexibility for the untethered workplace. Collaboration with design team, client requirements captured and delivered.
