Medland Engineering’s building services package for the new Ovolo in Wolloomooloo brings together old and new worlds to hit a new level of facility and signature style for this exciting Hotel brand. An artfully designed solution, with a savvy tech spec ensures that guests can move seamlessly between the demands of the work, life and play. Pavilions throughout the foyer, and reticulated underfloor services offer a magical and intimate quality to the cavernous grandeur of the foyer, bar and reception of this former timber shipping port.

New air conditioned conference facilities, complemented by industrial fans for large open spaces, ensure the Hotel meets customer’s expectations for cool comfort, while protecting the heritage qualities of the building.

But it is Medland’s lighting design that brings the wow factor to the interiors. Enhancing the diversity of spaces, the lighting design brings life, vitality and a touch of elective vintage glamour.

Ovolo Woolloomooloo has been awarded the LiDA Award of Excellence (National) at the 2017 Australian Lighting Design Awards & LiDA Award of Excellence (NSW Chapter) at the 2016 Australian Lighting Design Awards, and was also shortlisted for the Darc awards.
