The Medland Engineering Sydney team recently spent an afternoon pondering this question, delving into the mysteries of artistic thinking and expression as part of our unique Empower programme and our ongoing celebration of Engineering Month.

Expressed through ‘M.E. Time’ sessions, Empower challenges each team member to push their boundaries and follow their passions, unleashing each individual from their daily routine to pursue personal and team objectives that support new levels of inspiration and develop their inner resources as an innovative professional.

Under the guidance of Lisa George of bygeorge&co, and her collaborator, Craig Judd; we took to the streets of Paddington on a whirlwind tour of contemporary art galleries where they challenged us to consider the parallels between art and our own practice as engineering professionals.

Following an afternoon of cultural nourishment and enriching conversation we escaped to Popolo for some nourishment of a different kind. And what better way to blow off a little steam and bond with colleagues than a relaxing evening, a bellyful of divine wood-fired pizza and a glass of wine?
