Medland Metropolis is well underway designing the Mechanical, Electrical, Communications and Fire for this new residential facility in Townsville along with Project Partnership and Merrin and Cranston Architects.
Carinity Baptist Care has chosen Fairfield Waters in Townsville for this, their first aged care centre in North Queensland. A key challenge for our engineering team and design colleagues is the cyclonic and tropical conditions of the region. This raises the question of resilience, particularly given the need to maintain 24-hour care.
The 96-bed Residential Aged Care Centre is the first of three stages with a Community Pavilion and 65 Independent Living Units to be constructed in the near future.
