Triptych challenged all conventional building services boundaries and the engineering mindset, redefining the art of living. Medland Metropolis was engaged by the client knowing that within the engineering intellect lay the passion and a vision for excellence to delivery flexible building services.

Building services needed to be flexible in design to allow for changes to the building apartment footprint, resulting in the creation of services spines. The ‘spines’ are vertical services chambers that run right through the building from top to bottom, and are able to consolidate mechanical, waste, ventilation ducts, exhaust and return air within these chambers. The result was that that floor plans can be very flexible, apartments are quiet, exhaust is expelled vertically, and ceiling heights are not compromised by bulkheads.
