The 3,000sqm Porsche spare parts warehouse was part of an international logistics upgrade. Working closely with Atelier Techne, Medland Metropolis aimed at reducing the visual impact of the building services.
Classed as a high hazard occupancy, the fire sprinkler system, which comprised of Early Suppression Fast Response (ESFR) sprinklers, was resolved early in the design process. These ESFR sprinklers have very specific design guidelines, which had a significant impact on the building structure and ventilation.
