The project involved the design, fit out and relocation of China Construction Bank from their existing Canary Wharf office to a new HQ in the heart of the City.

The fitout phase of the project was completed in December 2014, Medland Metropolis and the professional team were appointed in October 2014 and 3 days later the main Contractor (Overburys) were appointed. The briefing, design and fitout were completed within 3 months.

The project included executive suites with flexible meeting space. Trading floor, full infrastructure upgrade to provide improved resilience, retail banking ground floor.

Medland Metropolis was engaged to undertake a full CAT A & B fit-out for the 6th floor executive suit and CAT B fitout for the 5th floor and 4th trading floor. The fire alarm, BMS and Electrical Infrastructure was completely replaced throughout the 120,000ft2 building, while keeping any disruption to a minimum to existing tenants.

Medland Metropolis worked closely with the Architect, Main Contractor and Sub-Contractors to produce a design deliverable programme that met the incredibly tight deadlines of the Contract.

Full generator and resilient power feeds were delivered to serve cellular offices, MCR and the trading floor.

Limited riser and tenant roof space required a creative and inventive approach to services installation.

Medland Metropolis provided mechanical, electrical (including specialist lighting) and public health engineering services.

The focus was on highly resilient service provisions.
