Medland Metropolis was engaged to perform design and documentation of Mechanical, Electrical, Fire and Hydraulic services on the residential development at Broken Head Road, Byron Bay.

Several interesting challenges have presented themselves during this project.

The first being the need to maintain the habitat for the vast population of protected snails on the site. To this end, and for various other reasons, the majority of trees on the site remained. The site is also in a high bushfire risk area and a 20m clearance zone needs to be maintained.

Medland Metropolis worked with the architect and the developer to create an outstanding result for this project – a unique haven disguised as a residential community.
